Watch For W.F. Gillespie Construction To Go “GREEN” In 2008

W.F. Gillespie Construction, Custom Home Builder and Remodeler in Citrus County, Florida, will begin to offer customers the opportunity to build their “GREEN” home in 2008.

Green building is a comprehensive approach to the design, construction and operation of a home. It’s about turning waste from land use to building materials into energy resources. The home becomes more comfortable, safer and healthier. Green building is Smart Building.

W.F. Gillespie Construction will first consider land orientation to the sun and prevailing winds (for passive heating and cooling) and existing landscape features. W.F. Gillespie’s goal is an effort to leverage what the existing location allows and then build upon these conditions.

A GREEN home’s construction takes into consideration materials, products and systems to leave a smaller footprint on the environment. W.F. Gillespie Construction of Citrus County, Florida, will start with a design and floor plan that optimize the land’s natural features. Next W.F. Gillespie will use products throughout the house to minimize the environmental impact. The result is a home that requires less and thus costs less for homeowners.

W.F. Gillespie’s staff will be attending numerous events around the United States to familiarize themselves with all levels of “Green building“. The goal will be to create a house system that preforms better than the status quo over a longer period of time and at the highest levels. Watch for W.F. Gillespie Construction to go Green in 2008.
